The scope for this project involved an addition of living space and an attached carport. Because of the lot orientatation, the front of their home has a beautiful forest view; however the back of the home is the first thing people see as they approach the house up the driveway. In addition, because my clients enter the home through the back, they essentially live in the home as if the back was really the front. My goal was to give them their additional square footage, but also design it so that the back of the home looked more hospitable and had more curb appeal like the front of a home typically does. This project is currently in the design/permitting phase and is scheduled to be built in the spring of 2023 – stay tuned!
